Kyle Hosea
Kyle Hosea is a Screenwriter, and Director born in Georgia. From an early age, he would constantly watch his favorite movies and tv shows on repeat, to the point where he could recite them from memory. As he got older, he shifted his focus into music, creating original guitar music as well as film scores. So that he could have films to score, he began creating his own films, which he soon realized was his true passion . During this time, he discovered filmmakers like David Lynch and Charlie Kaufman, who have greatly influenced his style and writing. After becoming a film student at the University of North Georgia, he wrote many different shorts for many different people while also becoming the founding officer of the UNG Screenwriters Guild.
During this time, he wrote the feature length film “The Day the Rain Dried”. A horror/thriller western that has won several awards and accolades such as being in the top 25% of projects on Coverfly.
He has directed many short films both inside and outside of the UNG Program, with the most recent being “The Rest of My Body”. “The Rest of My Body” is currently in the festival circuit, and continues to get selected and win awards.
Additionally, he is in the pre-production stages of another short film, as well as in the development stages of a 30 minute TV show pilot, a 60 minute TV show pilot, and five feature length films.
